It's all too easy to get swept along and caught up in the hype, especially if you've had a succesful gig or launch. It's important to stay grounded and not let it go to your head, especially when people start praising you, as the ego doesn't always lead to making the best decisions for your life or your career, it only leads to choices that will feed its false and inflated sense of self. Let your audience get caught up in the hype whilst you get caught up in the planning and delivery of your next show or release. Enjoy the highs but don't lose focus or feed the ego. Success rarely comes from one show. Stay grounded and stay humble. You will be surprised at how many fans will be attracted to you because of those qualities.
